Banca March has developed a new Co-Investment project, a unique and differentiating value proposition of the bank, in collaboration with the infrastructure management firm Ithaka. This initiative offers Banca March clients the opportunity to invest in companies with significant value appreciation potential in sectors essential for the daily functioning of society and the economy, whose structural nature makes them resilient and strategic assets.

The infrastructure sector is key to Europe’s energy, digital, and social transformation and is experiencing significant growth thanks to global macrotrends. Traditionally underutilized assets are being transformed into platforms for diversified income generation, creating investment opportunities in assets with high conversion potential. The combination of industrial and financial expertise has become a differentiating factor to capture opportunities outside competitive processes.

Co-Investment: A Distinctive Feature of Banca March

For over 20 years, Co-Investment has been one of Banca March’s most distinctive pillars. The bank has been a pioneer and leader in alternative asset investment through strategies shared with clients, enabling them to invest in the same products as the bank. Co-Investment represents a direct alignment of interests between the bank and its clients, fostering long-term relationships built on trust. Overall, Banca March’s Co-Investment model is unique in the Spanish market, reflecting the bank’s philosophy of sharing all its knowledge and expertise with clients with a single goal: growing together.

In the field of illiquid Co-Investment, the bank selects illiquid assets—venture capital, private equity, private debt, real estate, or infrastructure—with the aim of offering alternatives that avoid volatility and capture growth opportunities. In this way, Banca March provides its clients with access to investment strategies that would otherwise be available only to large investors. Since 2008, the Group has committed over €4 billion in illiquid assets alongside more than 3,900 co-investors (with a revealing statistic: one in three has reinvested), with projects that on average have returned more than twice the initial capital contributed in the case of real economy projects.
