Auren, a leading Spanish firm in the global professional services sector —covering audit, legal advisory, consulting and corporate— has announced its results for the 2024–2025 financial year, reporting revenues of €104 million, an 8.1% increase compared to the previous year.
The firm recorded growth across its main business lines, reinforcing Auren’s commitment to a multidisciplinary professional services model. The Legal division grew 12.3%, reaching €42.2 million. The Consulting division (People, Strategy & Processes, and Technology) increased 4.6% to €34.7 million. The Audit division rose 4.8%, reaching €23.8 million, while Corporate Finance generated €3.4 million, a 19.7% increase over the previous year.
The year was marked by a strategic milestone for the company: the entry of Waterland Private Equity as an investor, a transaction that is enabling the firm to accelerate its expansion plan, strengthen its technological capabilities and advance the development of high value-added areas.
During this period, Auren drove several corporate operations, including the integration of Estudio Jurídico V2C Abogados, a law firm in Madrid. It also strengthened its internal structure by promoting four new partners, adding new talent in key positions, expanding specialized teams and implementing technological solutions that improve efficiency and enhance the value delivered to clients.
Mario Alonso, Chairman of Auren, stated: “This year has been particularly significant for the firm. Waterland’s entry places us in a strategic position within the sector, boosts our growth and strengthens our brand, while helping us attract high-level talent without losing the humanistic essence and culture that have always defined Auren.”
Looking ahead to the new financial year, Alonso indicated that the firm is working on more than 50 corporate transactions across all divisions and in several cities across Spain, which will translate into significant growth for the company. “We expect to close this year with growth of between 20% and 30%. Initially, we planned to double our size in three years, and we now believe we can achieve it sooner, aiming to reach €200 million in revenue,” he added.
He also highlighted the continued momentum in areas shaping today’s business agenda, such as technology-related services—with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity—as well as restructuring, tax compliance and sustainability. The firm will also continue strengthening its integrated solutions that address all clients’ business needs.
In 2025, the firm increased its workforce by 5.2%, reaching 1,105 professionals across 15 offices in Spain. “Our commitment is to continue attracting talent that shares our values and our humanistic culture, based on trust, flexibility and always putting people at the center. Our goal is to double our workforce over the next three years,” Alonso said.
Auren ranked 8th in the latest list of professional services firms in Spain and 29th worldwide. It also holds the 7th position among law firms in Spain by global revenue.
Recently, the firm appointed Eduardo Romero to the Board of Directors of Auren, joining the four professional partners who sit on the board: Mario Alonso, José Luis Galipienso, Ignacio Irígoras, and now Eduardo Romero, alongside David Torralba and Matthias Geyssens, representing Waterland.
The firm continues to promote equality and diversity under its Second Equality Plan, signed in 2023. Currently, 56% of Auren’s professionals are women, and 40% of management and leadership positions are held by women. The firm also has a female leadership program, Auren Woman Leadership, aimed at supporting women’s advancement into senior roles. This year marked the first edition of the program’s mentoring initiative, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to female leadership, inclusion and talent development at all levels.
In terms of sustainability, Auren has reduced its carbon footprint by 21% over the past year, a result that reflects the effectiveness of its efficiency measures and its strong commitment to decarbonization and the implementation of sound environmental practices. “Being sustainable is part of our mission, and we work to ensure our clients are as well,” Alonso emphasized.
All these actions are part of an ambitious transformation plan centered on technology, talent and innovation, with key progress in artificial intelligence, sustainability, equality, brand strengthening, and national and international expansion. These initiatives reinforce Auren’s focus on high value-added services and support its strategic goal of doubling the firm’s size in the coming years.
