Oriane has secured $1.5 million in funding to build an AI-driven search engine for the video-first internet. The round was led by Clint Capital, with participation from Hartmann Capital, Secways, Archipélago Next, and strategic angel investors from Google, PayPal, Sony, and Jellysmack.

Video now makes up over 91% of global internet traffic, yet remains largely unsearchable. Oriane’s multimodal AI makes millions of videos searchable across platforms, giving brands, creators, and IP owners visibility, insights, and protection in the video-first era

With video now dominating online traffic, short-form content drives the highest engagement and ROI. However, clips are often remixed and reuploaded without proper attribution, creating gaps in visibility and rights management for brands, creators, and IP owners.

Founded in 2025, Oriane tackles this challenge with a multimodal video search engine capable of indexing millions of videos across platforms. Its technology analyzes visuals, audio, speech, faces, and trademarks, going beyond traditional metadata to track content reuse and generate insights on virality, engagement, and sentiment.

The platform is designed to process and analyze large volumes of video in seconds, reducing computing costs and enabling scalable monitoring.

"The semantic web became searchable with Google, but 90% of today’s internet is video, and much of it remains a black box with only titles or captions attached. Oriane changes that by giving brands and creators visibility and control over how their content spreads," said Julien Rosilio, CEO and co-founder of Oriane.

Oriane was founded by Julien Rosilio (ex-DRESSX) and Yuri Mihaileanu (ex-Jellysmack) to address the challenges brands and creators face in discovering, tracking, and understanding the videos shaping online culture. Industry estimates suggest global losses from online piracy of film and TV content total tens of billions of dollars annually.

Already adopted by major enterprises, Oriane operates in the US, London, Paris, and Barcelona. The new funding will be used to further enhance the company’s AI-powered search engine for the video-first internet.
