Anzi Finance, a Spanish startup specializing in credit risk mitigation infrastructure, has launched a $25 million financing plan (more than €21 million) for the next five years, backed by the Spanish fund Tritemius Fund I. The transaction will enable the company to strengthen its credit guarantee issuance capacity, accelerate its expansion across Latin America, and advance its goal of becoming the region’s leading infrastructure provider for credit surety bonds.
The plan combines institutional investment with the reinvestment of cash flows generated by the business. By the end of the first quarter of 2026, the company had already secured $2.3 million under this strategy and expects to reach nearly $4 million before year-end.
The investment from Tritemius, Spain’s first regulated fund specializing in web3, blockchain, and digital assets, represents a strategic endorsement for a company that has already issued more than 65,000 credit surety bonds in Colombia and is currently preparing to enter Peru and Uruguay.
Anzi Finance develops technological infrastructure that enables banks, cooperatives, and fintech companies to expand their lending capacity through guarantee systems that reduce credit risk exposure. The company structures and manages different credit guarantee models tailored to each financial institution, facilitating access to financing for thousands of small businesses and individuals who have traditionally been excluded from the financial system.
“Credit guarantees remain an underutilized tool in Latin America despite their enormous potential to unlock financing. Our goal is to build the technological infrastructure that will enable this market to scale and expand access to credit in an efficient and secure way,” said Matias Marmissolle, CEO of Anzi Finance.
Blockchain Technology to Modernize the Guarantee System
The company has developed its own blockchain-based platform that enables the tokenization of every license and every guarantee issued. This provides traceability, automation, and transparency throughout the entire lifecycle of surety bonds, from issuance to claims management and payment processing through smart contracts.
In addition, Anzi’s infrastructure enables collaboration among financial institutions, public entities, and multilateral organizations, facilitating new financing models for traditionally underserved segments.
According to data from the World Bank, every dollar deployed through guarantees can mobilize up to fifteen dollars in private financing. However, credit guarantees currently represent only 0.7% of GDP in Latin America, a figure significantly lower than in more developed markets.
An Opportunity to Connect Europe and Latin America
The transaction aligns with Tritemius Fund I’s investment thesis, which focuses on projects that leverage blockchain technologies to address structural challenges in strategic sectors.
The firm identified Anzi Finance as an opportunity to connect European capital with one of the greatest needs of the Latin American financial system: expanding access to credit through efficient risk mitigation mechanisms.
Anzi Finance is also supported by institutions such as CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, which selected the company as the winner of its Financial Inclusion Laboratory in 2025, and Mercy Corps Ventures, which has backed the company for its potential to drive financial inclusion in emerging markets. Additional supporters include ANII (Uruguay’s National Agency for Research and Innovation) and Outlier Ventures (UK).
Over the medium term, Anzi Finance aims to become the leading infrastructure provider for the issuance and management of credit surety bonds in Latin America and projects exceeding seven million guarantees issued as part of its growth plan.
