Addleshaw Goddard has advised Banco Santander (Spain) on a US$100 million international syndicated financing granted to Banco Consorcio de Chile, in a multijurisdictional transaction involving Bank of China (Grand Cayman Branch) and Korea Development Bank.

The transaction was structured with Santander Chile acting as administrative agent and required the coordination of multiple legal and regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions.

The Addleshaw Goddard team was led by Joaquín Sales, with support from José Berjón de la Vega and Fernando Raga Piedra. The firm also coordinated the legal advice provided by Holland & Knight LLP in New York and Garrigues in Chile.

Banco Consorcio de Chile was advised by Clifford Chance in New York and Larraín y Asociados Abogados in Chile.

The transaction further strengthens Addleshaw Goddard Spain’s position in advising on complex international financings, particularly syndicated structures involving multiple jurisdictions and international financial institutions.

The successful closing of the financing highlights the team’s ability to coordinate cross-border transactions with a practical, execution-oriented approach tailored to the legal and regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction involved.
