Adara Ventures has announced its investment in Articul8, a global enterprise Generative AI software company delivering secure, domain-specific GenAI solutions for complex and highly regulated environments.

Adara Ventures led the oversubscribed first tranche of Articul8’s Series B round, alongside other strategic investors, with continued support from Intel and DigitalBridge, which recently announced a pending acquisition by SoftBank.

From GenAI experimentation to operational impact

Enterprises are under increasing pressure to move beyond GenAI experimentation and pilot projects to achieve tangible business outcomes. However, most solutions currently available remain generic chatbots or simple model wrappers, which are not well suited to environments characterized by fragmented data, complex workflows and stringent security requirements.

In mission-critical industries, organizations require GenAI systems capable of reasoning over proprietary data, operating within existing security perimeters, and delivering auditable, explainable and deterministic results. The disconnect between experimentation and production has therefore become one of the main barriers to large-scale enterprise adoption of Generative AI.

Articul8: a full-stack, domain-specific GenAI platform

Launched as an Intel spin-off in early 2024, Articul8 was purpose-built to address these challenges.

Its full-stack, vertically optimized GenAI platform enables enterprises to build, deploy and manage secure GenAI applications entirely within their own environments, whether on-premise, air-gapped, hybrid or cloud-based.

At the core of the platform is ModelMesh™, Articul8’s proprietary reasoning engine. ModelMesh™ functions as an agent-of-agents, dynamically orchestrating data, models and tools—including domain-specific, general-purpose and non-LLM components—to deliver highly contextualized, high-precision outcomes without relying on static rules.

This architecture allows enterprises to optimize across multiple KPIs while maintaining full observability, governance and control.

Domain-specific models designed to outperform at scale

A key differentiator of Articul8 is its expanding library of domain-specific models (DSMs), developed in collaboration with industry leaders such as the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). These models embed deep domain expertise and proprietary workflows, consistently outperforming general-purpose large language models in both accuracy and cost efficiency.

For example, Articul8’s A8-Energy model achieved 96.9% accuracy across specialized regulatory and infrastructure topics, compared to 71.3% for general-purpose alternatives, while also outperforming them on critical energy consumption benchmarks.

The company has already secured multiple Fortune 100 customers across sectors including financial services, energy, manufacturing and semiconductors, and has received strong endorsements from industry leaders such as NVIDIA, AWS and Accenture.

Additional milestones include being selected as the foundational GenAI provider for EPRI, becoming a launch partner for Google’s Agent-to-Agent (A2A) interoperability protocol, and being recognized in the AWS Startups: Building with Llama program.

A leadership team with deep enterprise AI experience

Articul8 is led by Arun Subramaniyan, Founder and CEO, who brings nearly two decades of experience building and scaling high-performance computing, AI and data platforms at Intel, AWS and GE. During his career, he helped build AWS’s first GPU clusters and led initiatives that scaled to more than $1 billion in revenue.

He is supported by a leadership team with extensive expertise in AI research, enterprise software and industrial systems, including senior professionals from Intel, Amazon, NASA, Baker Hughes and GE, offering a strong founder-market fit for complex enterprise GenAI deployments.

What’s next for Articul8

Articul8’s mission is to help enterprises transition from GenAI experimentation to trusted, production-grade deployment at scale. The new funding will support the company’s global expansion and further enhance the platform’s capabilities in autonomous reasoning, agent interoperability and domain-specific model development.

The Adara Ventures perspective

From Adara Ventures’ perspective, the future of enterprise GenAI will not be defined by generic models, but by deeply integrated, vertically optimized platforms that combine proprietary data, domain expertise and autonomous reasoning.

Articul8 stands out for its full-stack architecture, its focus on domain-specific intelligence and its ability to deliver measurable results in environments where accuracy, accountability and security are critical. The company is building what Adara Ventures views as a secure intelligence layer for enterprise systems, enabling Generative AI to operate reliably within the world’s most complex organizations.

With strong customer traction, exceptional technical foundations and a leadership team with a proven track record of delivering AI at scale, Articul8 is uniquely positioned to shape the next generation of enterprise GenAI.

Adara Ventures has expressed its enthusiasm for partnering with Arun Subramaniyan and the entire Articul8 team as they continue to scale globally and help enterprises unlock the full potential of Generative AI.
