Actyus has participated in the recent R$35 million funding round of Hero Seguros, led by Headline, aimed at accelerating the growth of this Brazilian InsurTech.

The travel insurance market in Brazil has long been commoditized and one-size-fits-all. Hero is changing that. Founded in 2021 by Guilherme Wroclawski and Raphael Swierczynski, who previously built and scaled Ciclic (Banco do Brasil’s insurance brokerage), Hero has already captured 15% market share in Brazilian travel insurance by rethinking the product from the ground up.

Hero’s approach is based on four pillars:

  • Personalization — tailored policies instead of off-the-shelf products
  • Distribution — APIs and tools that help partners sell more effectively
  • Pricing — ensuring solid profitability across the book
  • Service — a customer experience that truly delivers when it matters most

With this round, Hero Seguros plans to expand into new Latin American markets and diversify into new insurance verticals.

Actyus is proud to back Guilherme, Raphael, and the Hero team as they build the next-generation InsurTech platform for Latin America.
