The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, announced that his ministry, through SEPIDES, has approved new provisional grants under the Industrial Value Chain Support Program. In total, €128.8 million has been awarded to 107 projects. He made the announcement this Thursday during the closing session of the 2026 edition of Advanced Factories 2026, held since Tuesday at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via exhibition center.

Notable allocations include two projects by Renault in Palencia totaling €10.6 million; Noel Alimentaria in Girona with €7.9 million; Aluminios Cortizo in A Coruña with €7 million; and Frutas del Segre in Lleida with €4.9 million.

So far, across the two rounds of allocations carried out to date, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism has granted €165 million to 137 projects.

The program aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Spanish industry by supporting its transition toward a more innovative, sustainable, and digitalized economy. To achieve this, it promotes projects focused on R&D&I, sustainability and energy efficiency, and digitalization as key drivers to improve productivity, reduce environmental impact, and modernize production processes.

The minister emphasized that Spain’s reindustrialization represents a national opportunity and must be built on talent and collaboration between public administrations, companies, and educational institutions.

In this context, Spain’s challenge is not only to attract industrial activity but also to consolidate the industry already established in the country — doing so through innovation, quality, productive efficiency, sustainability, and talent.

Earlier in the day, Hereu also visited the facilities of Henkel Iberia. The company is celebrating the 150th anniversary of its founding and currently operates in more than 70 countries with nearly 47,000 employees worldwide.

The grants can be consulted on the Ministry of Industry and Tourism portal under: “Provisional Grant Resolution Proposals – CVI 2025.”
