The public company Sodiar has strengthened its support for the Zaragoza-based family business ECM Transmissions – Echeverría Construcciones Mecánicas, with the aim of boosting the automation and modernization of its gear manufacturing machinery, as well as the digitalization of its production processes.

ECM Transmissions is a family-owned company based in Zaragoza specializing in transmission systems for key industrial sectors such as automotive engineering, agricultural machinery, and lifting equipment. Founded in 1960, the company has built a strong track record based on integrated engineering services, covering the entire process from design and prototyping to serial production.

The company operates at the Zaragoza Recycling Technology Park (PTR), an environment focused on industrial and technological innovation. The project is led by Guillermo Aso Arjol, who is responsible for driving the company’s growth and modernization strategy.

In this context, ECM Transmissions has recently been awarded the CEPYME 500 national prize, which recognizes Spanish companies with the greatest growth potential, consolidation, and innovation capacity.

To ensure the continuity of its investment program, Sodiar has supported the company through a temporary equity stake in its share capital, helping to strengthen its financial structure and accompany its industrial transformation plan.

This support aligns with Sodiar’s strategy of fostering the development of Aragon’s business ecosystem by backing industrial projects with strong growth potential, innovation capacity, and job creation impact.
