Pack, the Italian HR tech startup legally based in Spain with headquarters in Barcelona, has closed a €3.5 million investment round to support companies in developing and maximizing human capital through its all-in-one HR platform.
The funds will be used to consolidate the proprietary product, develop new AI-based functionalities, and grow the team, which currently consists of over 30 professionals.
The round was led by Rialto VC, an Italian venture capital fund founded by Stefano Quintarelli (entrepreneur, computer scientist, and politician, founder of I.NET) and Simone Brunozzi (co-founder of Fabrica, former CTO of VMware, former Technology Evangelist at Amazon Web Services). At the end of 2023, Alessandro Profumo (former CEO of Leonardo and Unicredit) joined the team, bringing strategic expertise in corporate governance, digital innovation, and tech scaleups.
"We decided to support Pack because it combines a clear market vision with a concrete and innovative approach. This round marks a key step to consolidate growth and strengthen the startup’s national and international presence," emphasizes Alessandro Profumo, Rialto VC.
The round was supported by Giulia Bianchi Frangipane’s team at Bonelli Erede, with senior associate Enrico Goitre assisting Pack in structuring the legal aspects of the deal.
"Having the backing of a venture capital fund with top-tier partners is a great endorsement for us. We chose Rialto, among the presenting funds, for the unique combined experience of Alessandro Profumo, Stefano Quintarelli, and Simone Brunozzi. Over the past two years, we’ve grown significantly with clients such as Leroy Merlin, Amadori, and Edenred. Now it’s time to take our expansion plan to the next level," says Pietro Maria Picogna, co-founder of Pack.
Founded in 2022 by Pietro Maria Picogna and Giacomo Gentili, Pack works with over 80 multinational companies and was created to address a specific challenge: providing companies with a strategic partner to navigate the growing complexity of people development. Pack focuses on skills, fostering more agile, aware, and prepared teams for future challenges.
The platform integrates tools for skill mapping, digital assessments, and personalized development pathways such as coaching, mentoring, and targeted training, supported by a continuous AI-driven monitoring system that measures progress and business impact.
"Pack represents a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting people through change," says Selene Santacaterina, Director of HR and Organization at Amadori Group.
With its data-driven approach, the startup aims to become the European reference for companies looking to innovate HR and people development processes, combining technology with tangible impact on employees.
"Companies around the world are facing, or will soon face, the complex challenge of managing human capital. They need not just a provider but a true partner to guide them through this transformation. Organizations must maximize the value of their people to boost performance and satisfaction. Pack is here to help achieve what was previously impossible," adds Giacomo Gentili, co-founder of Pack.
