King & Wood Mallesons ("KWM") has advised Swanlaab Venture Factory on the launch of its new investment vehicle, Swanlaab Tech Fund II FCR, reaching investment commitments of €45 million in its first close. This new vehicle, which has among its investors Fond-ICO Global, BBVA, several family offices, and private investors, has a target size of between 60 and 80 million euros.

The team of lawyers of KWM that has participated in this project has been led by the partner and director of the funds department Isabel Rodríguez, along with the collaboration of the associate Gonzalo Lozano.

The strategy of this new fund is focused on investing in Spanish start-ups with a B2B business model in initial phases, with a distinct technological character.

Swanlaab Venture Factory is a Spanish-Israeli venture fund manager that began operating in Spain in 2016. Its objective is not only focused on the financial contribution but on the accompaniment to the teams of the companies invested during the consolidation of the projects, until the achievement of a lasting international success.
