Hines and Newdock have agreed to jointly develop seven logistics plots in phases 3 and 4 of the Los Ahijones urban development project (Madrid). This area is set to become one of the capital’s main logistics hubs, complementing well-established locations such as Coslada and Villaverde.

Under the agreement, Hines plans to develop three plots with multi-tenant buildings and flexible units of up to 3,600 sqm. Newdock, in turn, will develop four plots located east of the M-45, featuring single-tenant warehouses ranging from 12,000 to 17,000 sqm, including one facility for cold-chain logistics.

With this project, both companies strengthen their commitment to Madrid as a logistics hub for Southern Europe, offering expert solutions in design, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

Vanessa Gelado, Senior Managing Director and Country Head of Hines in Spain, stated: “This agreement allows us to continue expanding our logistics portfolio in Spain, where we already have eight assets strategically located in the first rings of the Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia metropolitan areas.”
