EJASO continues to advance its growth and consolidation strategy in the market with the appointment of four new partners promoted internally: Cristina Abilleira (Madrid), Carlos Cabado, David Rodríguez (A Coruña), and Enrique Llopis (Madrid).

With these additions to the partnership, the firm reinforces its commitment to internal talent while strengthening strategic practice areas in an environment of increasing legal and business complexity.

Cristina Abilleira, based in the Madrid office, specialises in corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on sectors such as fashion, luxury, and retail, as well as international environments. She primarily advises foreign clients with interests in Spain, supporting them in their transactions and expansion within the Spanish market. In addition, she plays an active role in EJASO’s international development, representing the firm in networks such as Avrio Advocati and the International Bar Association (IBA).

Meanwhile, Carlos Cabado, based in the A Coruña office, is part of the corporate and commercial law department, particularly within the restructuring, insolvency, and special situations practice, including complex litigation. He recently joined the team driving EJASO’s new business line focused on “Special Situations and Distressed M&A in Private Equity”, aimed at providing comprehensive solutions to portfolio companies backed by funds and family offices in complex scenarios.

Also from A Coruña, David Rodríguez takes responsibility for the firm’s Public Law and Urban Planning practice. His work covers public law, real estate, urban planning, energy, and environmental matters, with extensive experience in administrative litigation, public procurement, and advising on the development of renewable energy projects.

The firm is also significantly strengthening its insolvency practice with the appointment of Enrique Llopis as partner. An insolvency lawyer with more than 20 years of experience across different jurisdictions, he has held senior positions at both national and international law firms throughout his career, advising both debtors and creditors in insolvency and restructuring situations. He combines his professional practice with his role as Court-Appointed Insolvency Administrator before Commercial Courts throughout Spain since 2004, bringing valuable practical and strategic insight. His appointment represents a key step in further consolidating EJASO’s insolvency and corporate restructuring practice.

These appointments reflect EJASO’s strategy of strengthening its structure through internal talent, combining technical expertise and sector knowledge to address the current challenges faced by its clients.
