Creand Asset Management, the Creand group's asset manager in Spain, grew 21% in the first four months of the year to reach assets under management of EUR 2,798 million at the end of April 2025. The management company has taken over the management of the Creand group's Luxembourg-based investment funds, following the recent acquisition of the European passport. This remarkable growth is in addition to that achieved in 2024, when it grew by 28.5%, thanks mainly to the expansion of capacities to offer new products and services, and to the Family Office division.
In line with this strategy of growth and offering maximum customer service from within the group, the fund manager has updated its organisational structure, adapting it to the expansion of the business. Luis Buceta becomes General Manager of Business and Investments of Creand Asset Management and Luis Bilbao, Chief Financial and Operational Officer. This enhances a dual management model that combines strategic, business and operational experience.
Thus, Creand Asset Management will have a robust structure that reinforces its commitment to specialisation, personalisation and excellence in client management, based on an open architecture model. Within this new structure, Miguel Ángel Rico continues to be the Investment Director; Santiago Hagerman, Director of Creand Family Office, and Sergio Muñoz, head of Alternative Investments. Marta Lantero becomes director of Discretionary Portfolio Management and Fund Advisory.
Luis Buceta, General Manager of Business and Investments at Creand Asset Management, highlights that ‘the growth of the management company in recent years confirms the soundness of our strategy and the confidence of our clients. The expansion of our portfolio of products and services, and the capacity to manage Luxembourg funds, strengthens our business and has led us to reinforce our organisational structure to accompany this growth. We face the challenges of the future with the aim of providing maximum added value in the service we offer our clients.
Commitment to alternative investments and internationalisation
In the last two years, Creand Asset Management has completed a process of expanding its portfolio of services and products for clients, especially in the field of alternative investments, considering this line of business to be one of the pillars for offering diversification to client portfolios.
The fund manager is authorised to carry out advisory and discretionary portfolio management activities, as well as the management and marketing of private equity vehicles and companies in Spain. Recently, the company took a step towards internationalisation, obtaining the European passport to act as a management company for harmonised CIIs and Luxembourg alternative funds. In this regard, Creand Asset Management has increased the volume of assets under management by EUR 487 million by 2025, thanks to the fact that it has taken over management of the Creand group's Luxembourg-domiciled funds.
The other strategic axis of Creand's management business in Spain is the Family Office division, which already has a volume of assets of 875 million euros, offering a high degree of specialisation and personalised service in asset management.
Creand Asset Management is the commercial brand of Gesalcalá SGIIC SAU.
