Christian Rouquerol expands his responsibilities to Head of Sales Europe & Latin America at Tikehau Capital

Tikehau Capital, a global alternative asset management group, has announced the expansion of Christian Rouquerol’s responsibilities as he assumes the role of Head of Sales Europe & Latin America, strengthening the group’s pan-European model. This new responsibility is added to his current role as co-Head of Tikehau Capital Iberia, a position he shares with David Martín, co-Head of Tikehau Capital Iberia.

Christian Rouquerol has over 25 years of experience in the asset management sector. He joined Tikehau Capital in 2018 as Head of Sales for Iberia and Latin America, a position he has combined since July 2024 with co-leading the Iberia office. Based in Madrid, he has led the commercial development of the firm in Spain and Portugal, as well as managing relationships with institutional investors in Latin America. With his new appointment, he expands his scope to also coordinate Tikehau Capital’s sales activity across Europe.

Rouquerol has been a key figure in consolidating the firm’s presence in Iberia and Latin America, offering a value proposition based on tailored investment strategies, active co-investment, and a thematic approach. His new role leading sales in Europe responds to the group’s sustained growth in the region’s major institutional markets and the need to strengthen coordination in managing global accounts.

Before joining Tikehau Capital, Rouquerol was Sales Director for Iberia at Natixis Investment Managers and, prior to that, Head of Retail Distribution for Spain and Portugal at Amundi Asset Management for over a decade. He began his career in the Planning and Control department at Crédit Agricole CIB and worked in the trading room of Caja Madrid.

Since opening its Madrid office in 2017, Tikehau Capital Iberia has operated as a fully integrated investment platform within the group’s global model, with local capacity to identify, structure, and execute deals in private debt, private equity, real assets, and listed markets. Led by Christian Rouquerol and David Martín, the office has a team of 19 professionals and actively participates in global investment committees.
