Atlantigo and FlexMyRoom have announced a strategic alliance that significantly expands their reach in the tourism sector insurance market. Effective since August, the operation integrates the technology service provider FlexMyRoom into the group led by Manuel López, thereby strengthening Atlantigo’s expansion into the hotel sector.
The goal of this collaboration is clear: to transform non-refundable hotel rates into flexible ones through innovative insurance solutions. The operation represents a significant corporate investment and will allow both companies to enhance their technological and commercial capabilities in the hotel market.
According to Atlantigo, this integration marks "a decisive step in our expansion into the hotel sector," while FlexMyRoom will be able to scale its model by combining its technology with "the group’s experience and leadership." This will accelerate the adoption of the model in hotels across Spain, Europe, and Latin America, driving the transformation of hotel reservation management and the conversion of non-refundable rates into flexible ones.
FlexMyRoom, backed by the venture capital fund Demium, maintains its essence as an independent tech company, keeping its team and agile culture that has allowed it to grow from a small startup into a global benchmark. The alliance combines Atlantigo’s solidity and experience with FlexMyRoom’s innovation capabilities, accelerating product development, commercial expansion, and international projection.
The focus of the collaboration remains clear: hotels and travelers. Both companies will continue transforming direct bookings into more flexible, secure, and profitable experiences, providing confidence to guests and generating additional revenue for hotels.
Manuel López, CEO of Grupo Atlantigo, stated that FlexMyRoom’s technological proposition "fully aligns" with the company’s mission to "build the future of travel risk while continuing to protect tourism with innovative solutions that provide safety and trust to the industry."
Meanwhile, Miguel Signes, co-founder and CEO of FlexMyRoom, highlighted that the alliance represents "a key step to strengthen our brand and scale our model sustainably, while maintaining our essence as an independent tech company and pursuing an ambitious roadmap aimed at scaling product, distribution, and international expansion."
