Alantra has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Piraeus Bank S.A. on the securitisation and transfer of a non-performing exposures (NPE) portfolio with a total gross book value of approximately €300 million.
The notes issued under the securitisation were acquired by an affiliate of Waterwheel Capital Management, LP, and servicing has been assigned to Cepal Hellas AEDADP, a licensed credit servicer supervised by the Bank of Greece.
Alantra’s involvement as the advisor on the original Solar portfolio enabled a smooth and timely execution of this transaction. The deal supports Piraeus Bank’s ongoing strategy to actively manage and reduce non-performing exposures.
Andreas Zacharakis, Vice President at Alantra, said: “We’re pleased to have supported Piraeus Bank once again in a transaction of strategic importance. Our deep asset familiarity and execution capabilities were key to ensuring an efficient and successful closing.”
