Miura Partners has acquired Educaedu, the leading educational and employment digital platform in Spain and Latam, with the aim to strengthen its leading position in Spain, boost its international growth and reinforce its digital capabilities. The company offers more than 140,000 education courses in nine languages and more than 20 countries, with a relevant presence in Spain, Mexico and Colombia among others.
Educaedu is headquartered in Bilbao and was founded in 2001 by Mikel Castaños and Fernando Bacaicoa. Over the last 20 years, the company has been supporting lifelong learning education institutions in Spain, Italy and Latin America helping them spread their training programs and recruit new students. Educaedu counts with a vast course offering portfolio, thanks to its established relationships with more than 2,000 universities and education institutions worldwide. In 2021 more than 120 million users visited their websites, of which 4 million asked for further information and 1 million ended up enrolling in a course.
Miura Partners, with extensive experience in Ed-tech and e-commerce companies, will partner up with the management team led by Fernando and Mikel to consolidate Educaedu’s leadership in the market, boost its international growth, and continue providing value-added services for education institutions and users by reinforcing the company’s digital capabilities.
