Seaya Andromeda, one of Europe’s leading growth and private equity funds focused on technology, digitalization, and sustainability, has announced the appointment of Tomás Arteaga as Principal and Jacobo San Martín as Associate.
These hires come at a particularly active time for the fund, which in recent months has expanded its portfolio with investments in companies such as Adsmurai, a leader in digital marketing transformation through technological innovation; Baïa Food, specializing in healthy food; Cuimo and Bike Ocasión, focused on the refurbishment and sale of second-hand motorcycles and bicycles, respectively; and Nax Solutions, dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to agriculture.
Seaya Andromeda invests in growth-stage and private equity companies within the lower mid-market in Spain and Europe. With a fund size of €300 million, it maintains a sector-focused strategy in energy, decarbonization, the circular economy, and the food value chain. Its initial portfolio includes ten companies, such as Seabery, along with the new investments made over the past year.
Andromeda has a flexible mandate that allows it to adapt to different investment structures, both in majority and minority stakes. Transactions can be executed through capital increases or by purchasing shares from existing shareholders.
Tomás Arteaga joins as Principal from Lincoln International, where he served as Vice President of M&A focused on TMT and Business Services. With nearly seven years of M&A experience, Tomás has participated in numerous buy- and sell-side transactions for private companies and private equity funds in Spain and internationally, including recent investments in Ctaima and E-coordina by Hg, the sale of Conversia to Wilmington, and the acquisition of Nuzoa by PAI Partners. His deep knowledge of the Spanish mid-market ecosystem and experience in sectors such as technology and business services will be highly valuable for Seaya Andromeda. Tomás holds a degree in Business Administration from IE University.
Jacobo San Martín joins as Associate from Sherpa Capital, where he was part of the private equity investment team, actively participating in the analysis and execution of investments, as well as in portfolio monitoring. He previously worked at Corpfin Capital and Deutsche Bank. Jacobo holds a dual degree in Business Administration and Law from the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF).
Pablo Pedrejón, Partner at Seaya Andromeda, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Tomás and Jacobo to our team. Their experience and deep market knowledge will be key to continuing to drive our investment strategy and supporting the growth of our portfolio companies.”
These new appointments follow the recent hiring of Alfonso Díaz Córdova as Investment Director and reinforce Seaya Andromeda’s commitment to attracting top talent to consolidate its position as one of the leading growth equity funds in Southern Europe.
