QuiverAI, the startup developing the next generation of AI models for vector graphics (SVG), today announced the closing of its $8.3 million seed round, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with participation from Mission (formerly Demium), Kfund, JME Ventures, and prominent angel investors including Linda Tong (CEO of Webflow), Amjad Masad (CEO of Replit), and Michele Catasta (Head of AI at Replit).
From the outset, QuiverAI identified a structural limitation of existing image generation models: the inability to produce truly editable vector graphics. Its technology generates structured SVG code from the source, removing friction from design workflows and creating a new AI-first infrastructure layer for visual creation.
The company introduces a paradigm called “visual code generation”, based on the idea that vectors are code, and language models are highly effective at generating code. Unlike traditional generative models that treat images as pixels—which are hard to edit and control—QuiverAI allows users to generate, edit, refine, and control designs with the same precision expected from software, applicable to icons, illustrations, diagrams, layouts, fonts, and animations.
With a16z leading the round and participation from Mission and K Fund, as well as notable entrepreneurs such as Jiaqiang and Carla Gómez (THEKER Robotics), the investment validates not only QuiverAI’s technology but also the strategic relevance of the category the company is building within the digital design and development ecosystem.
“We are grateful for the trust placed in us and extremely excited about what’s next. This is just the first chapter for QuiverAI,” said the founding team. “We believe the future of visual creation should be controllable, programmable, and iterative, and our technology takes vector graphics generation and editing to a completely new level.”
