COFIDES will support the Sevillian company which specializes in the management of cultural spaces with immersive experiences, IKONO, through its commercial establishment in Berlin, Germany.
IKONO's expansion in Germany takes advantage of a strategic opportunity to strengthen the entity's position as a leading company in the immersive leisure sector on the international scene. Berlin is one of the most visited cities in Europe and a high percentage of its population is in search of new experiences – thus there is great potential for the spaces managed by the company. The space chosen by IKONO is in a strategic location in the center of Berlin.
IKONO is leading the sector of immersive experiences, creating galleries where visitors can dive in and connect with each of the different worlds created by the IKONO team and its artists. With a track record of 4 locations in operation, the company has ample business potential.
The corporate head of the COFIDES Investment Division, Miguel Ángel Ladero, pointed out: “At COFIDES we support young entrepreneurs who are capable of identifying opportunities to create innovative business models with which to generate employment and economic growth."
Fernando Pastor, the co-founder and CEO of IKONO, highlighted the importance of COFIDES. He noted that in Spain these opportunities are needed, as they enhance entrepreneurship and, therefore, the creation of employment, progress, and wealth in our country.
This is the second project in which COFIDES and Ikono are collaborating, after COFIDES supported Ikono's establishment in Rome. This transaction contributes significantly to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work for All and Economic Growth).
