King & Wood Mallesons has announced the promotion of Senior Associate Teresa García to Counsel in the Spanish team. Teresa specialises in corporate law and M&A, advising national and international clients on all types of M&A transactions, with a specific focus on private equity, energy and infrastructure deals. She also has a wide range of experience regarding joint ventures and corporate restructurings.
Teresa joined KWM in 2005, developing her professional career in the Madrid and London offices of the firm. Some of the clients she has advised are EDP Renováveis, DWS, Novenergia, CMA CGM and Indigo,among others.
Over the last few months, Teresa has been a key lawyer in some of the major KWM deals in Spain, including the advice to EDP Renováveis on its joint venture with ENGIE specialising in fixed and floating offshore wind energy; the advice on the sale of NovEnergia Holding Company, S.A. to the French company Total Eren; and the advice to DWS, the infrastructure fund of Deutsche Bank, on the sale of Arenales Solar PS, S.L. to Cubico.
