The law firm King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised the private equity firm GED Capital on the structuring of its new investment vehicle, GED VI España, which has reached a first closing with investment commitments of 100 million euros.

So far, the investors of the new fund, which has a target size of 175 million euros, include among others, insurance companies, pension funds and family offices. To date, all investors of the GED VI fund have also invested in the previous fund of the venture capital firm. The strategy of GED VI España is to carry out between 8 to 10 operations within industrial companies with high growth potential.

The team of KWM lawyers advising GED Capital have been led by Funds partners Isabel Rodríguez and Ildefonso Alier and has also included the participation of associate María de Orueta.

Previously, the KWM team advised GED Capital on the structuring and closing of its previous fund (GED V España), as well as in several of its investments, including the acquisition of a 51% stake in Habock Group.

GED Capital is an independent Private Equity Management group founded in 1996 which operates in the middle market sector. It currently manages more than 800 million euros through different vehicles of private capital and infrastructure.
