IKOR a global company for the design and manufacture of electronic circuits, is now 100% merged into the ebm-papst group, the world's leading manufacturer of fans and motors based in Mulfingen (Baden-Württemberg).

The merger process began in 2016, with the acquisition by ebm papst of 50% plus one share of IKOR. It is now, thanks to the joint collaboration, when it proceeds to the takeover of 100% of the ownership of IKOR by ebm-papst.

During these three years of partnership, IKOR has been strongly strengthened, having already become the pole of competence at the level of controls and communications of this important German group. Its result is a growth of 16.5%, a strong bet on investment in R&D and on attracting and developing talent.

In this new stage will consolidate our trend of sustainable growth, to become full members of the German group, with the experience and support of ebm-papst.

IKOR as well as ebm-papst are family companies with similar and deeply rooted values, which have contributed over the last few years to the economic development of their respective territories and will continue to do so in the future.

The ebm-papst group, based in Mulfingen, Germany (€ 2.000 million turnover) has a workforce of 15,000 employees, 27 production sites, 48 subsidiaries and sales offices, and is the world's leading manufacturer of fans and motors. Its products can be found in many sectors such as ventilation, household appliances, telecommunications, etc...

The integration of both companies reinforces and drives IKOR's sustainable growth strategy, based on three areas: customer development, development of higher value-added technologies and services and win-win collaboration with ebm papst, as set out in the Basque company's Strategic Plan 2018-2022.

"Under the umbrella of ebm-papst, we will be extending and increasing our technological leadership even more. The access to the global market that comes with them opens up new opportunities to improve our projects for growth", explains Jon Sierra, CEO of IKOR.

"I am delighted to welcome IKOR as a full member of the ebm-papst Group and to consistently develop our stra-tegic orientation further." Stefan Brandl, CEO of the ebm-papst Group
