Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira will move to new corporate headquarters at Avenida Diagonal 191-195, in the heart of the 22@ business district.

GCA ARCHITECTS, the architects responsible for the award-winning refurbishment of the law firm’s Madrid headquarters on calle Almagro, have also been commissioned to design a tailormade building for Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira in Barcelona, following the representation, sustainability, efficiency and accessibility criteria. The law firm will hold the building under a lease.

The building will house 607 staff members, including 289 lawyers, and include unique spaces such as a large atrium and an auditorium designed to integrate the building with the city. It will also have rooms for holding arbitrations and simulated trials, which are essential for any law firm.

The 72-meter building will have two towers, one with 10 floors and the other with 17, connected through the central atrium housing reception and the main entrance. Transparent glass will allow the building’s integration with the city. The foyer under the atrium will be one of a kind in Barcelona, measuring 2,000 m2. The building will also have three underground floors for parking.

With the project underway, the building works are scheduled to start in October and the move is scheduled for 2017. The new headquarters will bring everybody under one roof in a unique building with more space and facilities.
