Álvaro Cobo – Managing Director, Spain & Portugal
Álvaro oversees and facilitates the growth of Gordon Brothers across Spain & Portugal. He has over 17 years’ experience in Restructuring, Private Equity and M&A. Álvaro is a Partner at Amura Management Partners, a leading Spanish advisory and interim management firm focused on special situations and restructurings. Prior to Amura, Álvaro spent five years as a Partner at Atlas Capital, a Private Equity Fund investing in LBO and growth capital deals, where he led several investments in mid-size companies. He started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and spent five years at DC Advisory (formerly Close Brothers), advising on a large number of M&A deals.

Berta Escudero – Managing Director, Retail
Berta is responsible for developing and executing the firm’s retail offering across Europe, Russia and the Middle East. She oversees the execution of various projects for retailers undergoing restructuring – providing expertise, capital and operational support to companies and their investors as they manage through change. Berta is an experienced retailer having worked with and managed many high-profile international brands through transitional periods. She was previously CEO at El Ganso, a multinational Spanish fashion retailer operating in 11 countries. Prior to this, Berta spent ten years at Grupo Cortefiel (now Tendam), another multinational fashion company, with over 2000 stores in 90 countries, also serving as CEO in her latest role.
