Enagás Emprende is Enagás' Corporate Venturing and Open Innovation initiative for the investment and acceleration of startups and innovative technologies in the field of energy transition, with special emphasis on renewable gases, gas transport and storage, alternative fuels for transport, sustainability, energy efficiency and Industry 4.0.

This programme is aimed at both Enagás professionals and external professionals who have a business idea, technology or business project underway. The aim of the programme is to make these projects grow and turn them into viable companies, offering them tailor-made support.

- Corporate Venture Capital

We invest in, support and accelerate startups with a tailor-made programme for each entrepreneur. We focus on preseed, seed and early stages.

At Enagás Emprende we seek to drive the energy transition with new business models in line with our diversification strategy and to incorporate disruptive technologies at an early stage. + info For startups in the growth phase, together with Alantra, we have promoted the Klima Energy Transition Fund and we also have the Hy24 Fund.

Since its launch, Enagás Emprende has promoted or invested in 15 entrepreneurship projects, including internal ideas and external startups, carrying out 5 pilots with startups.

- Open Innovation Projects

We collaborate in open innovation projects with startups, corporations and other institutions.

Open innovation is synonymous with collaboration; because there will always be more ideas outside than inside any organisation; because innovation happens when you are able to create a framework where different actors are able to cooperate.

Enagás Emprende works continuously to create projects in collaboration with Technology Centres, Universities, suppliers, customers and Public Institutions to share the technical and economic risks and maximise the contribution of project results to society and the collaborating entities. Enagás, experts in natural gas

At Enagás, we have been developing, maintaining, operating and managing gas infrastructures and networks for 50 years. We have built the main infrastructures of the Spanish gas system, which have made it an international benchmark. We also aim to guarantee the security of energy supply and accelerate the decarbonisation process by promoting innovation.

Appointed provisional HTNO of the hydrogen backbone in 2024. Promoter of the Spanish hydrogen infrastructure and H2med as PCI projects.
