We believe in generating outstanding financial returns by empowering diversity.

RED has a balanced team of women and men working together at the investment team, investment committee and advisory board levels. We actively seek diversity in our portfolio founders and leadership teams. The type of companies we are helping build and scale contribute towards equality of gender, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, disabilities and national origins.

Women-led and co-led companies remain underfunded and overlooked, representing an untapped market opportunity with virtually no competition for RED. Backing gender-balanced companies is a solid investment strategy because female-led and co-led companies perform better and have lower failure rates than the average startup.

RED has female investment professionals at the most senior positions. The goal of our activities is to promote the paradigm shift in the male-dominated world of technology startups, change the venture capital industry to become more gender inclusive and make female-led innovation flourish.

RED is the manager of the first venture capital fund investing in high-growth technology companies founded or co-founded by women in Israel with the objective of supporting them in their expansion to Spain and Europe.

RED channels the exchange of technology between Israeli and European companies and opens opportunities for Israeli companies to enter the European market.

RED also invests in European technology companies, with a particular focus on Spain, looking to expand internationally, or to access Israeli innovative technology.

RED invests in previously funded companies with strong and differential technological components and sustainable competitive advantages. RED has developed a thorough investment thesis focusing on opportunities in sectors that are undergoing a deep transformation cycle, where Israeli companies are world leaders and in which RED can add significant value, such as Agritech & Foodtech, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Technology and Health.

RED invests through its venture capital fund RED Ventures Fund I, which has a target size of €50 million. The fund will invest in up to 10 portfolio companies.

Our key focus is to add value to portfolio companies

  • RED assumes the role of lead, co-lead or sole investor in all investment rounds with equity tickets of up to €10 million from RED Ventures Fund I, plus the possibility to channel additional capital with co-investments from its LPs.

  • RED has a “company builder” approach dedicating resources and bringing a hands-on strategy to develop its portfolio companies into global leaders.

  • RED holds board seats in its portfolio companies working closely with the CXOs on business development projects, such as business model definition, product-market fit, go-to-market strategies and identification and reach out to potential customers and partners in Europe, United States, Latin America and Asia.

  • RED’s team has more than 30 years of accumulated experience in building companies and creating value. The team has a broad sector expertise, an excellent reputation and a global network of top-level contacts.

  • The high level of seniority and international experience of RED’s investment team, advisory board and expert panel -composed of seasoned professional investors, serial entrepreneurs and first-class corporate professionals- contribute in a unique way to the global growth strategy of RED's portfolio companies.
