King & Wood Mallesons has won three awards in this year’s Private Equity International annual awards, being crowned ‘Law Firm of the Year in Europe (Fund Formation)’ for a stunning fifteenth consecutive year in addition to “Law Firm of the Year in Europe (Transactions)”, and “Law Firm of the Year in Asia (Fund Formation)”.
Separately, the firm also won the prestigious title of “Law Firm of the Year in Asia” in Private Equity International’s Infrastructure Awards.
Private Equity International deemed 2015 as “another action-packed year for the private equity group led by industry luminaries Jonathan Blake and Michael Halford. In a crowded fundraising environment, they managed to clinch quick and hefty capital hauls for firms across the region, raising a plethora of funds from the likes of niche players to big buyout funds from PAI Partners and Ardian”.
On winning Law Firm of the year in Europe (Transactions) PEI went on to say that the firm “saw an equally robust amount of work on the deal side in 2015, propelling the firm to dethrone 14-time category winner Clifford Chance…showing strength in complex exits and restructurings”.
The awards follow Ed Hall's recent placing in Financial News 40 under 40 for rising legal stars in 2016.
