COFIDES will help Kampaoh, a company specialising in manufacturing, selling and managing Luxury tents, to expand into France. COFIDES has granted a joint venture loan of 400,000 Euros to the company to help it set up in France with a view to operating in campsites in the south of the country.
Kampaoh started out in a campsite in Tarifa with several fully-equipped tents. Following the success of this initiative, in 2017 they founded the company, which has gone from strength to strength in Spain in terms of sales and the number of customers. Its growth strategy includes expanding its presence in Spain while penetrating other European markets.
COFIDES IMPACT
The project is part of the COFIDES Impact programme within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Through this initiative, funded by the European Union - Next GenerationEU, COFIDES supports investment projects that have a positive impact on achieving the SDGs. With COFIDES Impact, a bonus is provided through the variable sustainability component of the financing price, linking it to the achievement of certain sustainable indicators. In this case, the financing price bonus will be linked to the increased use of sustainable materials in tents manufactured by Kampaoh.
This project also contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 8, Decent work and economic growth.
ABOUT KAMPAOH
Kampaoh brings a new concept of camping to the table with luxury tents, known as “glamping” (a play on the words camping and glamour). It has different models of tents, including detachable fabric tents and fixed structure tents, equipped with a wide range of comforts. They have more than 1,200 tents in campsites all over Spain. The company's manufacturing hub and offices are in Alcalá de Guadaira (Seville) and it employs around 50 people.
