Earlier this year, Internxt opened its seed round, securing around €300,000 in funding by VCs as prominent as The Venture City and ESADE BAN. Today, Internxt is happy to announce that it has secured an additional €250,000 in funding, led by Angels Capital (Juan Roig).

Earlier this year, Internxt entered Juan Roig’s startup accelerator, Lanzadera. Juan Roig is a Spanish billionaire businessman, president of Mercadona, the Spanish supermarket chain. Forbes magazine reported that Roig was worth 7 billion euros, the second largest fortune in Spain. Today, Internxt has received funding from Juan Roig’s investment vehicle, Angels Capital. There have only been 20 startups that have been invested by Angels Capital — Juan Roig. Examples are startups as successful as Jeff, CodiGames, AirHopping, Zeleros Hyperloop, Flamingueo, Gana Energía, and BoatJump.

With this seed round where Internxt raised over half a million euros, the company expects to boost its growth by increasing its growth-related investments and generate close to €1M in revenues during 2021. As such, Internxt considers its seed round as fully closed and will be conducting its Series A investment round no earlier than 2022.
