On this October 29th, Clifford Chance held the "Spain Focus II: Partnering with key Spanish players for your global investments" conference, a meeting that attracted over a hundred international investment funds and was also attended by the heads of major Spanish companies.
The conference, held at the Hotel Four Seasons in Park Lane, was opened by the Counsellor for Economy at the Spanish Embassy in London, José Manuel Gutiérrez. In this, the second edition of the meeting, the focus was on how to arrange international investment operations in Spain in collaboration with local partners. Three panels for debate were set up, led by a variety of groups of experts who analysed the investment opportunities in the real estate, infrastructure and energy sectors.
Approximately twenty CEOs and financial managers of Spanish companies such as Servihabitat, Acciona Inmobiliaria, Testa and Grupo Lar, on the real estate side; or Renovalia, T-Solar, Cobra, Iridium, Auqualia, Gestamp and Isolux, in the field of infrastructure/energy, met with investors from all over the world, many of whom were interested in investing in Spain.

The meeting has provided a great platform and starting point for both investors and for the Spanish companies looking to develop relations with a view to generating new projects and deals", said Jaime Velázquez, managing partner of Clifford Chance in España.
