IQS Tech Factory has launched the new edition of IQS Next Tech, the only industrial acceleration program in Spain, which this year is being promoted with the support of ACCIÓ. From today and until next January, the 10 industrial startups will begin their journey to transform their prototypes and be production-ready.

The second edition of the program will accelerate the projects during the next six months to work in each phase of the value chain, with the aim of taking one more step towards Industrialization. To achieve this, the new companies will have individual sessions with professionals from established industrial companies such as Zobele or Ficosa. They will guide them through visits to the factories and individual sessions, until they develop all the necessary requirements for the final industrialization of their technologies, defining its design and implementation.

In addition, startups will also attend training sessions and receive advice from 20 mentors in different areas of the industry, such as Isabel Amat, Head of Business at Reig Jofre; Oriol Estrada, Innovation Director at the Institut Català de la Salut (Metropolitana Nord); or Enrique Shadah, Head of Strategic Relations at MIT, who will help them to boost their company.

From Barcelona to Boston

After six months of acceleration, the entrepreneurial projects will have the opportunity to present the evolution of their innovative technologies to investors and potential partners at the Demo Day. A jury made up of leading actors from the industrial sector will choose the most promising industrial startup of IQS Next Tech 2018, who will travel to Boston to participate in the Richi Entrepreneurs immersion program, organized by the Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation.
